Job Description

Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head Cheer Coach to join our coaching team. The successful candidate will partner closely with another Co-Head Coach to collaboratively plan and execute training programs, mentor and develop athletes, and lead the team in both practice and competitive settings. This role requires strong communication, shared leadership, and a passion for fostering growth in young athletes. Responsibilities:
Collaboratively plan, organize, and oversee practices to ensure athletes develop skills, teamwork, and discipline. Attend all pre-season, in-season, and post-season meetings. Share responsibilities for coaching the team at all scheduled practices, games, and competitions. Supervise all athletes before, during, and after practices and events to ensure their safety. Lead or support game day preparations, ensuring all logistical and performance elements are ready. Coordinate with the other Co-Head Coach to oversee any assistant coaching staff. Attend and participate in scheduled awards events and ceremonies. Provide mentorship and positive reinforcement to athletes, emphasizing both skill development and personal growth. Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team updates, expectations, and any issues. Fulfill other duties as agreed upon with the Co-Head Coach and assigned by the school administration.
Requirements:
Prior coaching experience, preferably at the high school or competitive level. Comprehensive understanding of cheerleading skills, techniques, and competition rules. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a co-leadership role, fostering a collaborative coaching environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as necessary for competitions. Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Heritage Christian Academy.
