Transylvania, founded in 1780, is the nation's 16th oldest institution of higher learning and is consistently ranked in national publications as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country. Transylvania is located blocks from downtown Lexington, KY, in central Kentucky. Transylvania is a proud member of NCAA Division III. Responsibilities include assisting with the organizing and directing all aspects of a successful and competitive collegiate program. The recruitment of qualified student-athletes and a demonstrated commitment to their personal, athletic, and academic success are essential. Responsibilities may also include recruiting, travel management, scheduling, player development, and budget management. This is a part-time appointment. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and have collegiate playing experience or coaching and effective communication/organizational skills. Candidates applying should have a career goal of collegiate coaching. Also, candidates should have an athletics philosophy compatible with a Division III liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards.
