Job Description

The University of the Cumberlands invites applications for the position of assistant coach for women's lacrosse. This is a full-time, 12-month staff position, reporting to the head coach of women's lacrosse. This position will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching, recruiting, and administering within the lacrosse program. Implements coaching strategies and methods to help student-athletes' growth in athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills; analyzes performance of team and adjusts strategies as needed; plans and conducts practices and other activities in preparation for competition; and actively recruits competitive and qualified individuals. Helps identify and develop team strategy for recruitment; analyzes future needs; creates promotional strategy for contacting and recruiting prospective student athletes; develops promotional correspondence and materials for distribution to prospective recruits; conducts recruiting calls, trips, and activities. Bachelor's degree required; two years of coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level; strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills; experience recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes; organize official visits including assigning hosts and create itineraries while adhering to all NAIA rules & guidelines.
