We believe athletics plays a vital role in developing teamwork, leadership, and character among our students. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic High School Girls Basketball Coach to lead our student-athletes to success. The ideal candidate will inspire players to reach their full potential while upholding the values of sportsmanship, discipline, and academic achievement.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and conduct effective practice sessions and game strategies. Teach fundamental and advanced skills while emphasizing teamwork and respect. Oversee athlete conditioning, safety, and performance development. Maintain communication with parents, athletic directors, and school staff. Support the academic progress and personal growth of all team members. Ensure compliance with LHSAA regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching or playing experience in basketball (high school or higher level preferred). Knowledge of rules, strategies, and conditioning techniques. Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
Preferred:
Teaching certification or a commitment to obtain certification. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
