Job Description

Head Coach Women's Volleyball The Head Volleyball Coach directs and coordinates the planning, organizing, and coaching of the intercollegiate Women's Volleyball program at Centenary College with ancillary duties as an athletic department event manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible and accountable for recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes in accordance with Centenary College and NCAA policy guidelines. Provides leadership and guidance in the personal and athletics development of student-athletes at Centenary College. Arrange and organize yearly competition schedules. Over 25 percent of travel time is required to attend SCAC and NCAA meetings, conferences, and training seminars, as well as travel to support team competitions and recruiting. Must be accessible and reachable by telephone or text message at times other than College business hours for the purpose of team member contact and recruiting purposes for texting or calling recruits after school hours. Must have access to mobile computing outside of the office for recruitment of student-athletes by accessing databases for contact information and adding information, scouting, travel arrangements, budget management, and maintaining constant contact with the NCAA, SCAC, scouting information, and team data. Schedules, organizes and supervises practices in compliance with College and NCAA rules. Ensures that the athletic venue is properly set up for practices and official athletic competitions. Counsel team members in academic, disciplinary, and personal matters; consult with College administration and faculty for resolution of problems as needed. Coordinates all summer camp activities through the Office of the Director of Athletics. Directs and coordinates activities, ensuring compliance with College, Conference, and NCAA policies and regulations. Maintains control of college-issued credit card and submit timely reimbursement requests with accompanying support documentation. Works with the Director of Athletics and Athletics Department Assistant to develop and monitor annual budgets. Supports the Development Office's efforts to raise money for the Centenary Fund for Student Athletics. Monitoring of Athletic facilities as assigned by the Athletic Director Performs other related projects, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary. As an institutional staff member actively involved with NCAA Division III prospects, student-athletes, and athletic department personnel, you are responsible for upholding all conference and NCAA rules and regulations. In accordance with NCAA bylaw 11.1, you are responsible for reporting any known violations and will be held accountable for any violations committed within your department.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. MINIMUM 3 or more years as a competitive player or coach Bachelor's degree Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Must be a people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Must be well organized and self-motivated.
PREFERRED
