Job Description:
Responsible for coaching women's soccer at the intercollegiate level. Candidate will work in conjunction with the Director of Athletics in arranging game and practice schedules. Will conduct all practice sessions and coach at all games. Accompanies team on all trips to and from the College. Recruits student/athletes and performs necessary administrative duties including game score and statistics reports to Presto.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Teach all aspects of the game of soccer through fundamentals of offense and defense in daily practice sessions. Recruit and maintain an active women's soccer team roster to develop a competitive team. Develop and evaluate player performance. Conduct and supervise all practices. Schedule and attend all contests (games and scrimmages). Conduct year-round field maintenance and perform pre-game and post-game field preparation. Ensure students comply with all athletics policies and procedures. Coordinate team travel arrangements, lodging, and travel itineraries. Report game scores, statistics, and information to Presto Sports. Assist with maintenance and updates to the athletics/soccer portion of the website. Assist the Equipment Manager with maintenance of soccer program equipment. Train and supervise the assistant women's soccer coach. Coordinate and supervise fundraisers and appropriately manage fundraising budget. Appropriately manage, in cooperation with the Athletic Director, the women's soccer budget. Support student athletes who wish to transfer to four-year institutions/teams. Supervise and assist student-athletes in community projects. Maintain office hours and correspondence files. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director. Focuses on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.
Requirements:
Associate's degree Previous coaching experience of a women's team at a high school or intercollegiate level The ability to work nights and weekends. Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain such certification prior to the start of the season
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a sport-related field Familiarity with Presto Sports stats entry program Recruiting experience at the college level

$9,000.00 per season
