Children & Family Services - Skills Instructor Waystone Health and Human Services - 3.8 Lawrence, MA Job Details Part-time | Per diem $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications English Assisting with ADLs High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Direct support Home health 1 year Care plans Patient personal care assistance Entry level Full Job Description Children & Family Services - Skills Instructor We're looking for a compassionate and committed CFS Skills Instructor to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. In this role, you will work with individuals in their homes and within the community to help them build essential life skills, promote independence, and enhance their overall health and quality of life.
Location:
On-site in family home,
Lawrence, MA Schedule:
19 irregular hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the individual and their family.
Compensation:
This is a non-exempt, per diem position. The hourly rate is $21.00. You will be a union member to SEIU Local 509.
Job Responsibilities:
Help individuals in their day-to-day life to achieve their goals such as assisting to: Develop skills in all areas of community living, including doing household tasks and learning social skills. Behave appropriately. Be active in their community. Complete required forms on medical, behavioral and community goals from their Individual Support Plan (ISP). Assist and provide safety and personal care to individuals. Help individuals with community and recreational activities.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year experience with daily life skills and personal care Candidates must be able to read, write, and comprehend English to accurately follow care plans, document services provided, and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals. Valid Driver's License in good standing and a minimum of 1 year of driving required Waystone Health & Human Services is a 501c3, nonprofit, human services organization supporting youth and adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; acquired brain injuries; and mental health diagnoses. Our services are provided to more than 1,700 people annually in cities and towns across the Merrimack Valley, Greater Lowell, North Shore, and southern New Hampshire.
