Regional / Northeast Head Coach Mill City Volleyball Club Lowell, MA Job Details Part-time | Seasonal 1 day ago Qualifications Youth fitness Teamwork Childhood development Communication platforms Team development Teaching Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Regional / Northeast Head Coach to lead a team within a competitive gym to maximize growth and skill development . This role involves inspiring athletes of a team between the ages of 12-18, fostering a positive environment with the highest standards of leadership and team success. You will work with a group of coaching staff within your practice block to promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and personal growth. Your passion for sports, teaching, and child development will drive success and engagement within the club with the ultimate goal of promoting a competitive gym and contributing to the overall growth of the game in our region. Duties In charge of own individual team (communication, actively coaching in practice, tournament play) Download and use GroupME App for communication with team. Relay communication to teams about changes in times or cancellations Make sure to have all equipment needed for tournaments provided by our club facility (Balls for warm-ups, rosters if needed, player numbers and schedule) Team will practice twice a week, northeast teams will have an extra skills day run by directors. We will work with your schedule and the clubs schedule to find the best day/time. Practice slots could be anywhere between 4:30-9:00 PM Mon-Fri depending on the team twice per week for 4 hours total. One of the club directors will be at your practice to assist with drills/planning unless on the road. The Director will give an outline and plan for each practice either way You are expected to attend practice and each day of competition with a positive attitude that will allow for our players to learn both skills of the game and being part of a team Flexibility and access to a vehicle is required to attend tournaments that may be up to 2-3 hrs away on a tournament weekend (6-8 weekend tournaments and or play days) Ability to communicate in group chat with coaches and directors is required Wear MC or athletic gear only at practices and MC gear at tournaments Season runs from the end of November to the end of April or May depending on the team receiving pay in three increments throughout the season Qualifications Passion for promoting healthy lifestyles through the sport of volleyball; experience with coaching on athletic skills or teaching is a plus as well as prior playing experience.
