Job Description

Overview The Regional Goalkeeping Coach is responsible for leading the development of goalkeepers across all age groups within the club or regional program. This position oversees goalkeeper training methodology, player evaluation, coach education, and recruitment support while creating a professional and positive developmental environment for youth athletes. The ideal candidate is passionate about goalkeeper development, highly organized, and experienced working with competitive youth players in a club environment. Responsibilities Lead specialized training sessions focused on goalkeeping techniques, positioning, shot-stopping, distribution, and game awareness for youth teams across multiple age groups. Develop customized coaching plans that align with players' skill levels and developmental needs. Monitor and evaluate individual player progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance. Collaborate with team coaches to integrate goalkeeping strategies into overall team tactics and game plans. Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages learning, confidence-building, and enjoyment of the sport. Organize and oversee goalkeeping clinics or workshops to promote skill development beyond regular practices. Maintain detailed records of player attendance, progress reports, and coaching activities to track development over time. Primary Responsibilities Goalkeeper Development Plan and deliver age-appropriate goalkeeper training sessions for U8-U19 players Regional Program Oversight Coordinate goalkeeper programming across multiple teams and locations Conduct regular talent identification and player assessments Organize goalkeeper clinics, camps, and supplemental training programs Maintain communication with players, families, and coaching staff Match & Performance Analysis Attend matches to evaluate goalkeeper performance Provide video analysis and feedback sessions Track player progress and performance metrics Coach Education Mentor and educate team coaches on modern goalkeeper training methods Assist with staff development and coaching workshops Promote best practices in goalkeeper coaching throughout the organization Implement a consistent goalkeeper curriculum aligned with club philosophy Develop technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeping Provide individual player evaluations and development plans Support team coaches with goalkeeper integration into team training Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on goalkeeping or similar positions in soccer or related sports such as basketball or cheerleading. Strong background in physical education, teaching sports fundamentals, or working with children in recreational or educational settings. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate young athletes and maintain discipline during training sessions. Ability to communicate effectively with players of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Pay:
$30.00 - $85.00 per hour
