May drive team to matches. Hours will be independently determined by the coaching staff to meet the demands of the season and may vary by needs of sport and schedule. No adverse action will be taken for not working a minimum number of hours throughout the season. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understanding of the rules and regulations of the relevant sport and athletic association, National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), is essential. Description Benefits Job Function To assist and support the Macomb Community College Head Coach in all aspects of a sports program, focusing on player development, game strategy, and team management. Job Responsibilities Assist the head coach in instructing student-athletes on the rules, skills, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Monitoring and evaluating student-athletes' performance, providing feedback, and developing training plans to improve their skills. Helping to identify and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes. Assisting with team travel, practice scheduling, game day management, and equipment maintenance. Qualifications Related work experience. Collegiate, high school or club level coaching or physical training experience preferred. This position is not eligible for benefits.
