Varsity Wrestling Head Coach Detroit Cristo Rey High School - 4.5 Detroit, MI Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Student supervision Working with athletes Academic performance monitoring Student mentoring Sports-specific training instruction Sports team experience Sports coaching class instruction Wrestling Team scheduling Mid-level Safety-focused fitness instruction Student extracurricular activities management Team motivation (leadership skill) Event activities coordination Student academic progress tracking Full Job Description General Description The Varsity Wrestling Head Coach will lead the wrestling program while promoting discipline, perseverance, and competitive excellence Key Areas of Responsibility The key responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:  Conduct practices focused on technique, conditioning, and safety.  Develop individual and team goals.  Monitor athlete academic progress and eligibility.  Organize competition schedules and tournament participation.  Promote growth and recruitment within the program. Qualifications  Wrestling coaching or competitive wrestling experience preferred.  Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques and rules.  Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.  Commitment to athlete safety and development. Schedule & Commitment Practices are typically held after school hours (4-5 days a week some weekends). Attendance required at all home/away matches Season runs approximately from November through March Compensation Stipend position based on experience and school policy.
