June 23, 2026 General Summary In alignment with the established policies and procedures of the East Lansing Public School District, the Freshman Boys Soccer Coach is responsible for overseeing the organization, implementation, and evaluation of the high school interscholastic Soccer program. The duties listed below are not intended to be all-inclusive; rather, they are representative of some of the primary responsibilities associated with this position. About the Role Supervises all matters relative to Soccer. Schedules practice sessions according to facility and equipment requirements. Coordinates transportation with Athletic Office. Governs player conduct and follows established rules. Supervises, in cooperation with assistants, all practices, games and tournaments. Supervises and coordinates assistant coaches as to their duties and responsibilities. Manages the use, care and inventory of all equipment used (including uniforms). Attends all meetings required by the Michigan High School Athletic Association and C.A.A.C.. Abides by the rules and regulations established by the Michigan High School Athletic Association and enforces the East Lansing athletic code. Reports all injuries to the Athletic Trainer or Activities/Athletic Director and be sure proper medical treatment has been received. Teaches all athletes the skills and techniques which are unique to Soccer. Promotes proper respect among all athletes for other coaches, teams, and officials' decisions. Prepares athletes for later life by instilling physical, mental, emotional, social and moral values. Education, Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge of the rules and rule changes in Soccer. High school coaching experience required. Soccer philosophy, Soccer strategy, drills, bio mechanics and first aid skills are required. Prefer B.A. degree.
