Summary :
The Women's Head Volleyball Coach, through faithful service to accomplish the mission of Kuyper College, will be a passionate, relational, and mission-driven leader. This role will begin July 1, 2026. This position provides an exciting opportunity to help continue building a growing Christian athletic program focused on excellence in competition, discipleship, recruitment, academics, and student-athlete development. Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to) : Coaching & Program Leadership
  • Lead all aspects of the Women's Volleyball program, including practice planning, match preparation, player development, scheduling, and program administration.
  • Mentor and disciple student-athletes spiritually, academically, athletically, and personally.
  • Foster a competitive and positive team environment emphasizing accountability, integrity, servant leadership, and teamwork.
  • Organize team travel, fundraising efforts, camps, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Athletic Director and campus departments to support the growth of Kuyper Athletics.
  • Represent Kuyper College and the volleyball program professionally within the community, conferences, and recruiting circles. Recruiting Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain an active year-round recruiting pipeline for prospective student-athletes.
  • Recruit student-athletes who fit Kuyper College academically, athletically, and spiritually.
  • Develop relationships with high school coaches, club coaches, AAU/club programs, and recruiting services throughout Michigan and the surrounding regions.
  • Evaluate film, attend recruiting events and showcases, and conduct consistent communication with prospects and families.
  • Utilize social media, recruiting software, email campaigns, phone outreach, and campus visits effectively.
  • Help prospective student-athletes understand Kuyper's unique Christian higher education
  • environment and Work College model.
Qualifications:
 Strong knowledge of volleyball skill development, systems, recruiting, and program management.  Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.  Ability to recruit and mentor student-athletes in alignment with Kuyper College's Christian mission and values.

The ideal candidate will:  Embrace Kuyper College's mission of integrating faith and learning.  Be passionate about mentoring and developing student-athletes beyond the court.  Thrive in a small college environment centered on community, accountability, and servant leadership.  Help continue building a competitive volleyball program within the NCCAA.  Demonstrate energy and vision for recruiting student-athletes who desire a Christian college experience.
