ROBOTICS COACH
Club Goal:
As a coach for our Robotics Team, you'll be part of a global community dedicated to preparing young minds for the future. Working side by side with our high school students, you'll play a crucial role in shaping their skills and inspiring them to achieve greatness.
Responsibilities:
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coach the FIRST Robotics team throughout the season Assist in building, configuring, and testing of the robots Supervise scheduled team meetings and additional meetings that may be required during the busiest parts of the season Plan travel arrangements for competition events Coordinate occasional community outreach demonstrations Order materials according to district purchasing procedures Coordinate fundraising Help coordinate the efforts of the team's professional volunteer mentors Maintain a safe and clean working environment, and keep the students focused on maintaining safety Communicate pertinent information to students, parents, mentors, and sponsors Robotics experience and specific technical experience NOT required. However, the coach should be interested in building some knowledge of robotics over time. Assign students to specific sub-teams and tasks in order to develop the students' skills and help the teams achieve their goals Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district. Employee shall properly implement Board Policy 3122, Policy 4122, and Policy 2260 on non-discrimination and shall comply with Federal and State laws and regulations, particularly Part 1 104 of Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (34 CFR) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
