Swartz Creek High School Summary:
Swartz Creek High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Varsity Boys Soccer Coach to support the varsity soccer program. The ideal candidate will assist in developing student-athletes both on and off the field by promoting skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive competitive culture. This position works closely with the Head Coach to help build and sustain a successful soccer program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and rules Ability to build positive relationships with and motivate student-athletes Availability for practices, games, tournaments, and team-related travel Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain
MHSAA CAP
1 or 2 certification (preferred) Prior soccer coaching or competitive playing experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, games, and team activities Provide instruction in individual and team soccer skills, tactics, and sportsmanship Support the development of a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented culture Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during all team activities Uphold and enforce school, district, league, and MHSAA rules and policies Promote academic accountability, character development, and leadership among student-athletes Maintain professional and respectful communication with athletes, families, officials, and staff Serve as a positive role model in conduct, attitude, and professionalism
