Frankel Jewish Academy (FJA) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Women's Varsity Volleyball Coach to lead and inspire our student-athletes both on and off the court. This seasonal role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' personal and athletic growth within a supportive environment rooted in Jewish values and academic excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in volleyball, a commitment to student development, and the ability to build a competitive and positive team culture that reflects the values of FJA and its athletic program. Position Summary This position oversees all aspects of the women's volleyball program, including collaboration and coordination with the Athletic Department to ensure the continued growth and success of the program. Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, techniques and strategy Demonstrates a commitment to student growth, both athletically and personally Embraces and models sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-discipline Aligns with FJA's athletic philosophy and values-based educational mission Effective communicator and positive role model for high school athletes Available for the season, which runs from August 2026 through November 2026 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and conduct effective practices that build athletes' skills, fitness, and teamwork. Instruct student-athletes in the rules, strategies, and techniques of volleyball. Promote academic achievement, leadership, and sportsmanship. Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture. Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and school-related events. Collaborate with assistant coaches, and school administration. Maintain equipment in coordination with the Athletic Director. Communicate regularly and professionally with players, parents, and school staff. Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred. Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies. Ability to motivate student-athletes and foster a positive, team-oriented environment. Current CPR/First Aid certification and applicable coaching credentials (or willingness to obtain). Must pass a background check and meet all state and school employment requirements.
