EH DC Job Description:
The Strength & Conditioning Coach will lead and oversee training programs for Duluth East athletics, collaborating with coaches and school leadership to support student-athlete performance and development.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in exercise science preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee seasonally appropriate strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports teams. Lead training sessions and strength classes, ensuring safe, effective, and sport-specific programming. Coordinate training schedules and facility use in partnership with the school's Athletic Director. Collaborate closely with head coaches and Essentia Health Athletic Trainers to support performance goals, injury prevention, and return-to-play planning. Monitor and track individual athlete progress to promote ongoing development. Build and maintain strong working relationships with students, coaches, school leadership, and sports medicine staff. This position is a casual role, although estimated to be 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification by a national strength and conditioning body required. Examples include but are not limited to
CSCS, USAW, NSAM, ISSA SCC BLS
