Job Description

SUMMARY We are looking for basketball trainers with extensive playing, training, and coaching experience to elevate our facility. Our facility is a membership-based basketball gym in which personal training is an optional add-on. We need someone with the skill and expertise to build an effective book of business as a trainer - in other words, they need both sales skills and basketball training skills. The goal of this position is to make Shoot 360 Woodbury the go-to place for local basketball players looking for private training. Additionally, trainers will conduct small-group classes, work camps, and serve as a Floor Coach - providing ad hoc guidance to members in the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the General Manager and AGM in the success & growth of the facility Design and implement effective training programs for players of all skills levels, and drive sign-ups for training. Provide exceptional floor coaching for our athletes
ABOUT SHOOT 360 WOODBURY
At Shoot 360 we have six skills courts where players can work on their ball-handling and passing with a virtual trainer. We also have five shooting courts with automatic rebounding machines where players a work on catch and shoot or pull ups with a virtual trainer or just free shoot. At our shooting machines we use Xbox camera technology to track their shots and give them instant feedback on their arc, depth, and alignment. This same tech is used in 28 of the NBA training facilities and most WNBA training facilities. We are only providing personal training to approximately 5% of our members, high performing Shoot 360's are providing it to 40% of members. There is real opportunity here to earn personal training for someone who wants to go get it. Our members range in age from four years old to professional players overseas who return to practice for the summer, however, our largest demographic is aged 10 - 12. Our goal is to elevate our coaching, our classes, and our personal training to make Shoot 360 THE place to go train with a coach. If you can do that for us, please apply.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The most important duty in this role, above even basketball training, is providing excellent customer service to our members. We want every member and parent who walks into the facility to be greeted and warmly welcomed by name. If you do not know a member or parent, you will need to go introduce yourself. They should all feel like Shoot 360 is a second home. Additional duties in this role will include assisting with day to day activities within the facility such as helping to clean the facility at the end of the night and prep it each morning, running equipment in the facility, taking general phone calls, doing point of sale transactions

Experience as a private basketball trainer working in 1:1 and small group situations Basketball coaching experience at any level H.S diploma or
GED LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal skills
PAY AND BENEFITS
This role receives a base pay of $15-$17 based on experience as well as a commission of $3 - $5 for every 30 minute personal training session that they do (also based on experience). Lastly, coaches receive $10 for each member that they guide through a first workout at the facility (which we call an ORV) that signs up for a membership. These ORV's are a great opportunity to demonstrate your ability to help kids improve and earn personal training. We match 3% of your 401k.
