Assignment:

Job Duties:
Survey the swimming pool when the students are in the pool area for their PE class. Keep a constant eye on the water. Blow a whistle if there is ever a student at risk or in danger. Observe and guide student behavior in the swimming pool to ensure compliance with school rules and student safety. Report any areas of concern regarding student behavior to the teacher or building principal. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Job Qualifications:
Evidence of excellent judgment in crisis situations. Evidence of self-motivation. Evidence of punctuality and reliability. Evidence of understanding and knowledge of school rules. Evidence of ability to work with middle school age children. Evidence of ability to respect, protect and maintain confidentiality. Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
