Our coaching philosophy is rooted in reality-based learning, holistic player development, and creating engaging, challenging, and enjoyable environments Position Summary Tonka United is seeking an energetic, passionate, and growth-minded Full-Time Soccer Coach to join our professional coaching staff for the 2026/27 season. The successful candidate will play a significant role in delivering high-quality coaching experiences, developing players and teams, and helping drive the continued growth of one of Minnesota's leading soccer clubs. This position includes coaching competitive teams, supporting club programming, delivering player development initiatives, and contributing to the overall soccer operations of the club. Primary ResponsibilitiesTeam Coaching & Player Development Serve as Head Coach and/or Assistant Coach for multiple competitive teams. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions aligned with the Tonka United methodology. Lead teams during league matches, tournaments, showcases, and club events. Create development plans that support the technical, tactical, physical, mental, and social growth of players. Evaluate players and provide regular feedback and development recommendations. Foster environments that encourage creativity, ownership, resilience, and enjoyment of the game. Club Programming Assist with delivery of: Recreational Soccer Programs Tonka Juniors Regional Development Program (RDP) Camps and Clinics Supplemental Training Programs Player Identification Programs Support club initiatives designed to increase player participation and retention. Coaching & Club Culture Demonstrate and model Tonka United's values and standards of professionalism. Collaborate positively with coaching colleagues and club leadership. Participate in staff meetings, coach education sessions, and professional development opportunities. Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and player-centered club culture. Parent & Player Communication Build positive relationships with players and families. Communicate professionally regarding schedules, expectations, and player development. Assist in managing player and parent concerns in alignment with club policies. Represent Tonka United professionally at all events and within the community. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain team communication and schedules. Complete player evaluations and seasonal reports. Assist with tryouts and player placement processes. Support tournament operations and club events as assigned. Maintain required certifications and compliance documentation.
