Position Summary:

To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem. Assist with the Baseball program. This position reports to the Activities Director and Head Coach Salary will be commensurate with experience. Salary range is $4,932 - $5,426.

Essential Functions:

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the rules and fundamentals of baseball. Provide emergency first aid. Maintain a conducive and safe environment. Maintain, issue, and provide an accurate inventory of school equipment. Model skills of the sport. Develop positive relations with students and parents. This includes appropriate dress, language, and demeanor. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises students in the program.

Experience:

Previous experience in coaching baseball preferred.

Education:

Educator certification preferred. Must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate or be eligible for a substitute teaching certificate (minimum 60 college credit hours.)
