Benefits N/A Contract Type COACH Bargaining Unit None Revised Date 02/12/2026 PURPOSE This position will assist with maintaining the girls' soccer program.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assisting with maintaining the soccer program. Maintaining positive communication with patrons and parents of athletes and potential athletes. Assisting with off-season camps and conditioning programs. Encouraging good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport. Collaborating with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athletes. Ensuring compliance with MSHSAA. Maintaining statistics on all players. Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS

Assistant CoachesQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
A four-year college degree or have served as a MSHSAA approved assistant coach for a minimum of two years. If hired, must successfully complete MSHSAA minimum requirements including First Aid & CPR/AED training course, Concussion in Sports training course, sport specific online rules review and test, Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention training course, and Heat Illness Prevention training course.Preferred:
Missouri teaching certificate; Prior teaching/coaching experience. Ideal candidate will have a professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Speak and hear in an environment where numerous conversations and activities may be taking place simultaneously; Move around a classroom, gymnasium, and playing field; Read handwritten or printed materialAttendance:
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position: Requires frequent evening and/or weekend work related to practice and competition; Evenings and/or weekends travel to accompany students to games and meets.Sensory Requirements:
The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking.Conditions and Environment:
