Performance will be evaluated regularly in accordance with the Board's policy on the evaluation of coaching staff. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position. Formulates objectives before the sports season begins. Distributes literature to all athletes regarding the Athletic Commitment Form and student eligibility requirements. Provides athletes with the letter award policy for the assigned sport. Schedules and organizes daily practices to maximize athlete development. Teaches fundamental skills, theory, and strategy of the sport. Emphasizes the importance of good conduct, sportsmanship, and citizenship. Supervises athletes at all times and enforces discipline in a firm yet productive manner. Ensures athletes follow safe procedures during practices and competitions. Implements proper out-of-season training in accordance with MSHSAA guidelines. Attends the athletic awards program. Encourages enthusiasm and a competitive attitude during practices.
