Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation features an expansive coalition of schools that allow our children to develop a sense of purpose and value, receive a higher quality education, join a welcoming community and feel secure in a a dynamic future. Job Summary The Head Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the girls basketball program at Cardinal Ritter College Prep. Responsibilities include player development, program promotion, practice planning, game preparation, academic monitoring, and maintaining compliance with all school and Missouri State High School Activities Association rules and regulations. The coach will promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and the overall development of student-athletes both on and off the court.

Job Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise all practices, games, and team activities
  • Develop student-athletes through skill instruction, conditioning, teamwork, and leadership
  • Promote academic success and monitor student-athlete eligibility
  • Coordinate scheduling, program needs, and team operations with the Athletic Director
  • Maintain and secure uniforms, equipment, and facilities
  • Communicate effectively with parents, administration, and student-athletes
  • Promote sportsmanship and represent the school in a professional manner
  • Assist with offseason workouts, summer programming, camps, and player development opportunities
  • Support student-athletes with college recruitment opportunities when applicable
  • Attend required meetings, clinics, and professional development activities
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Athletic Director or school administration Job Requirements
  • Previous high school basketball coaching experience preferred (head coaching experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and player development
  • Ability to positively lead and mentor student-athletes
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, officials, and community members
