POSITION TITLE

Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach The West Platte School District, located in Weston, Missouri, is searching for a dynamic leader to serve as Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-27 school year and beyond. There is also an opening for a Physical Education teacher (K-12). Must hold a bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 60 college credit hours with 2 years experience as an assistant coach. Varsity head coaching experience preferred. The successful applicant will have a comprehensive plan for all levels of the program, to put the District in a position to be consistently competitive in the near future. Candidates should be prepared to present and share the following:

• How the important fundamentals of basketball will be taught
• Processes in developing and growing the program
• Discuss complete off-season program
• Discuss methods to encourage maximum student participation
• Discuss overall philosophies of a basketball program (offense and defense) and how those systems will be installed
