Job Description

Position Overview The D-BAT Baseball/Softball Instructor role is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to athletes of all ages and skill levels. You will create customized training plans, deliver private and group lessons, and help grow the client base through retention and client recruitment. You will work in coordination with leadership to align with D-BAT's mission and instructional philosophy. Key Responsibilities Deliver individual and small-group instruction in hitting, pitching, fielding, defensive play, and other baseball/softball skills Develop customized training plans and progressions tailored to each athlete's goals Conduct camps, clinics, and special programs Evaluate prospective clients and present baseline assessments Maintain client relationships, follow-up on lesson leads, and assist in retention efforts Collaborate with facility leadership on scheduling, promotions, and facility operations Uphold facility standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism Represent D-BAT's values in all interactions with players, parents, and staff Qualifications Strong knowledge of baseball and/or softball fundamentals and mechanics Experience playing or coaching (college, or higher preferred) Experience teaching private lessons, group clinics, or camps Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays Self-motivated, growth-oriented, with a passion for athlete development Comfortable using technology (video analysis, scheduling platforms, etc.) Schedule & Hours Expect to work a mix of weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend shifts Minimum of ~10 hours per week preferred (can adjust depending on candidate) Additional hours available during camps, clinics, peak seasons Pay & Benefits Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Incentive / bonus opportunities for lesson growth and client retention Access to D-BAT training methodology, curriculum, and continuous development Opportunity for growth into leadership / management roles Employee discounts on D-BAT services and pro shop Why Join
