JOB DESCRIPTION NY
Enrichment Group is seeking several reliable, self-motivated, independent, fun-loving, freelance youth martial arts Instructors to join our team. The successful candidates will be supporting students while fostering and cultivating their desire for movement and physical activity. Instructors must be able to successfully adopt a creative, fun, and energetic learning approach while promoting and instilling values of respect, team, and passion. Instructors will model and inspire a love of martial arts that will equip each student to succeed in whatever passion they pursue. The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and educate.
Duties include:
Leading various martial arts classes for youth between the age of 8-11 years old. Facilitate classes that follow a social group work model. Responsible for managing a classroom of 15-20 students.
Prep for classes:
arriving 15 minutes to set up and prepare to start class on time.
Clean up:
must leave locations in the condition found, or cleaner. Build and maintain positive relationships with staff and scholars. Follow up after classes with NYEG Director of Operations. Maintain a positive, healthy, safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
Requirements:
Candidate should be highly responsible, reliable, punctual, flexible, outspoken, honest, self-motivated, and work with integrity. This is an independent role, with little direct supervision. Candidate should be comfortable working with children, and comfortable working independently leading a class of students. Candidate should be a clear communicator, have a positive attitude, and be able to effectively manage a classroom. Relevant performance experience in martial arts Preferred but not necessary: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. At least 2 years of experience working with youth. Teaching experience and classroom management skills. A knowledge of, and willingness to teach martial arts.
Schedule & Location:
Friday Jun 26 Jul 10, 17, 24, 31 Aug 7 1:30pm-2:30pm High Point, NC Additional programming opportunities may be available to the successful candidate. This is a freelance/independent contractor position.
