Immediately Job Description The Assistant Middle School Cheerleading Coach supports the Head Coach in developing a positive, disciplined, and skill-focused cheer program that promotes school spirit, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and conducting practices, including teaching cheers, chants, stunts, and routines Help supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and events to ensure safety and appropriate behavior Support the Head Coach in organizing tryouts, performances, and team activities Encourage teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship among athletes Help monitor academic progress and promote student-athlete eligibility requirements Assist with equipment management, uniforms, and communication with parents when needed
Qualifications:
Previous cheerleading experience required Prior coaching experience preferred (minimum 1 year recommended) Knowledge of cheer techniques, stunting safety, and crowd engagement Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and administration Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Work Environment:
After-school practices, games, and occasional weekend events Indoor and outdoor settings depending on activities
