Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Swim Instructor and inspire confidence, skill, and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging swimming lessons, promote water safety, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth and enjoyment. Whether working with children or adults, your passion for teaching and expertise in aquatic activities will help participants achieve their goals while having fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through active instruction and personalized coaching. Responsibilities Deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing water safety rules and supervising activities at all times Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate techniques from sports coaching, physical education, and martial arts such as Karate or Judo when appropriate Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, teamwork, and perseverance Manage behavior effectively through clear communication and behavior management strategies Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents Maintain clean, organized pools and equipment, adhering to health club standards and safety protocols Requirements Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in water safety roles is highly preferred Strong background in swimming, sports coaching, or martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Cheerleading Demonstrated ability to teach children and adults with patience and enthusiasm Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learners Experience working with students in physical education or childcare settings is advantageous Certification in CPR/First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is a plus Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods while engaging with participants Join us to empower individuals through water skills training! $21.40 - $25.78 per hour
