The assistant coach will be assigned an event group by the Head Track Coach, be responsible for all aspects of teaching and training that group, and will be assigned recruiting duties by the Head Track Coach. They are responsible for the management of their events during the meets, as well as other duties at the meet as assigned by the head coach. Assists in roster management and helps athletes establish eligibility. FLSA Salaried (Exempt) Salary $45,000 Minimum Required Qualifications Requires an associate's degree plus one (1) year of experience playing or coaching at the collegiate level.
Experience must demonstrate:
Effective leadership of the team and the program The ability to effectively recruit and retain student-athletes Excellent knowledge of the sport An outstanding ability to teach the sport to student-athletes and to adapt coaching methods to accommodate athletes Strong organizational skills for planning and scheduling training sessions and competitions The ability to represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner Preferred Qualifications Required Licenses/Certifications Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the college's automobile insurance provider Preferred Licenses/Certifications Physical/Environmental/Working Conditions Working Conditions Irregular hours, such as evenings, weekends, and frequent travel to attend meets.
