Job Description:
Winnisquam Middle School is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Middle School B Team Soccer Coach for the upcoming season. This stipend position runs from August through November and provides a unique opportunity to work with young athletes and contribute to their development in soccer.
Key Responsibilities:
    Coaching and Instruction:
    Plan, organize, and lead daily practice sessions for the B team. Develop and implement effective training programs that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
      Game Preparation and Strategy:
      Prepare the team for games, including strategic planning and player positioning. Ensure that players understand their roles and game tactics.
        Player Development:
        Provide individual and team coaching to improve players' technical skills, physical conditioning, and understanding of the game. Foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
          Team Management:
          Create a positive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, respect, and cooperation. Manage player behavior and address any conflicts that arise.
            Safety and Compliance:
            Ensure all practices and games adhere to safety standards and school policies. Conduct regular equipment checks and enforce proper use.
              Communication:
              Maintain clear and open communication with players, parents, and school administration. Provide regular updates on team performance, game schedules, and any important information.
                Administrative Tasks:
                Handle administrative responsibilities such as managing attendance, coordinating practice and game schedules, and assisting with any necessary paperwork.
                  Season Wrap-Up:
                  Help organize end-of-season activities and celebrations.
                  Qualifications:
                  • Previous experience coaching soccer, preferably at the middle school or youth level.
                  • Solid understanding of soccer fundamentals, tactics, and rules.
                  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young athletes.
                  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment.
                  • NFHS Concussion in Sports certification, First Aid and CPR certification required; must obtain certification prior to season beginning.
                  • Must pass a background check and adhere to all school and district policies regarding athletic programs.
                  Compensation:
                  This is a stipend position. Specific compensation details will be provided upon hiring.
