Our mission is to provide high-quality services that adapt to the evolving requirements of our communities, including before and after school programs, summer camps, and virtual learning centers. Summary We are seeking a passionate Swim Instructor to join our team at The Work-Family Connection. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to children of various ages, ensuring their safety while fostering a love for swimming. The swim lessons will take place at Colony Pool in Chatham during our time at the pool on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays . We will be running two 30 minute sessions. Group sizes will be limited to 5 campers at a time (some days/weeks might be less). An additional teacher will be available to assist in or outside the pool. Time frame is 1:30-2:30pm for the lessons. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging swim lesson plans tailored to different skill levels. Ensure the safety of all participants during swim classes by adhering to safety protocols. Provide instruction on swimming techniques and water safety. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding class expectations and progress. Maintain a clean and organized pool area, ensuring all equipment is in good condition. Requirements Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is essential. Current lifeguard certification is required; CPR/First Aid certification also required. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students and parents alike.
