Job Description

Job Summary Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, active, and engaging coach who is eager to learn and thrive within our program's structure. This role involves leading classes for children ages 18 months to 7 years, delivering curriculum-based sessions with professionalism, pride, and poise. The ideal candidate can bring energy and creativity to each lesson. Whether pretending to be a pirate, an astronaut, or simply cheering on young athletes, while maintaining a safe, fun, and supportive environment for players, parents, and team members. Coaches are expected to follow all program policies and expectations, communicate effectively, and contribute positively to a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities Duties:
1. Coach, supervise, and engage with children ages 18 months to 7 years old Provide age-appropriate instruction, encourage participation, ensure safety, and adapt communication for different developmental levels. 2. Run a 50-minute class using a structured curriculum Lead sessions from warm-up to cool-down, follow lesson plans, manage timing, and adjust activities based on group skill levels. 3. Have a background in sports or basic soccer knowledge Understand fundamental athletic concepts and demonstrate simple soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and kicking. 4. Handle basic administrative and communication tasks Take attendance, complete player cards or progress notes, and communicate clearly with parents about updates and expectations. 5. Set up and clean up all equipment Prepare cones, balls, and goals before class and properly pack and store all equipment after each session. 6. Work effectively as a team member Collaborate with other coaches, support team goals, and communicate respectfully to maintain smooth operations. 7. Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts Arrive on time, stay consistent with attendance, and communicate promptly about any scheduling issues. 8. Maintain reliable transportation and weekend availability Ensure dependable travel to the facility and be available for required weekend morning classes. 9. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone and be playful Use energy, creativity, and silliness when needed to keep children engaged and create a fun learning environment. Requirements Must be 16 years of age or older. Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Demonstrates strong leadership qualities when working with team members and leading group classes. Possesses customer service skills and an understanding of program expectations and communication standards. Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new skills and adjust to changing situations. Open to both in-person and online training, with a commitment to completing all required onboarding. General soccer knowledge is a plus, but not required for the position.

From $15.92 per hour
