Job Description

Princeton Day School is seeking a motivated and dynamic Varsity Assistant/ JV Head Volleyball Coach to join the Girls Volleyball program. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach and will report to the Director of Athletics.
Certifications and Training Requirements:
Abide by all policies stated in the Princeton Day School Employee Handbook NFHS
  • Fundamentals of Coaching NFHS
  • Implicit Bias NFHS
  • Heat Illness Prevention (must renew annually) NFHS
  • Concussion in Sports (must renew annually) NFHS
  • New Jersey State Component NJSIAA
  • BeNice Program CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (hands on/in person component required) Praesidium Courses as assigned by
Human Resources Coaching Responsibilities and Expectations:
In consultation with the head coach, organize, supervise and evaluate practices to provide development in a positive and competitive environment for student athletes. Provide regular communication and feedback to players and parents on individual and program performance. Prepare athletes to demonstrate positive and competitive performances during competition. Ride the team bus to and from away competitions. Work to "recruit" our middle school athletes; make them feel as appreciated and wanted as those from off campus. Communicate with local media to make sure all game scores and statistics are reported consistently. Be sure that all comments are positive and complimentary Perform other duties as assigned
Professionalism:
Maintain high standards of conduct, ethics, and appearance.
Communication:
Respond to emails and phone calls promptly (within 24 hours), attend meetings, and keep all stakeholders informed.
Attendance:
Be present for all practices, games, and team activities during the summer session and regular season. Attend all relevant Athletic Department meetings for coaches.
Preparation:
Be organized, plan effectively, and be prepared for all team activities.
Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with other coaches, faculty, and staff.
Growth:
Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills Communicate regularly with the Director of Athletics. Keep lines of communication open for all sensitive issues and disciplinary problems.
Compensation Range :
This is a stipend position; $5000
