Middle School Girls Flag Football Assistant Coach Ministry Description Summary Faith Lutheran Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic program as a Middle School Flag Football Assistant Coach for the upcoming seasonal flag football program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport of flag football, a commitment to fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among young athletes, and the ability to inspire and motivate middle school students. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of student-athletes in a supportive and engaging environment. Responsibilities Assist the head coach in planning and conducting flag football practices and games, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Help develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy. Provide instruction on fundamental flag football skills. Support the head coach in managing game-day operations, including player substitutions, strategies, and communication with athletes. Encourage and promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude among players. Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations. Assist in the organization of team events, including practices, games, and any additional team-building activities. Attend all scheduled practices and games, contributing to the overall success of the team. Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures related to athletics and student conduct. Foster a love for the game and encourage athletes to pursue their personal and athletic goals. Requirements Previous experience playing or coaching flag football at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level preferred. Strong knowledge of the rules and strategies of flag football. Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged students and foster a positive team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. A commitment to the physical, emotional, and social development of student-athletes. First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Must pass a background check as required by Faith Lutheran Middle School.
