Job Overview Black Flag Strength & Conditioning is seeking an energetic, motivated, and professional Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our growing coaching team. This role is primarily focused on leading high-quality group strength & conditioning classes while helping create a positive, supportive, and high-energy training environment for our members. The ideal candidate is passionate about coaching movement, building relationships, and helping everyday adults and athletes train safely and effectively. Coaches should be confident leading groups, communicating clearly, and creating an engaging class experience while maintaining strong movement standards and professionalism on the floor. Personal training opportunities are available for coaches who demonstrate strong leadership, consistency, and member engagement, but group coaching will be the primary responsibility and source of hours to start. Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and effective group strength & conditioning classes according to Black Flag programming standards
- Coach movement quality, provide real-time feedback, and create a safe, motivating training environment
- Guide members through warm-ups, workouts, modifications, and recovery protocols with professionalism and energy
- Build strong relationships with members and contribute positively to gym culture and community
- Maintain awareness of class flow, equipment organization, safety, and overall member experience
- Assist with onboarding newer members and helping individuals feel comfortable within the training environment
- Support facility cleanliness, professionalism, and team standards before and after classes
- Provide personal training sessions when applicable and assist with member accountability and long-term progress Requirements
- Current fitness certification preferred (NASM, NSCA, ACE, CF-L1, or similar)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Experience coaching group fitness, strength & conditioning, athletics, or personal training preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to confidently lead groups
- Passion for fitness, coaching, movement quality, and helping others improve
- Positive attitude, professionalism, reliability, and willingness to contribute to team culture
- Ability to coach and connect with both beginner and experienced members Compensation & Growth Hourly coaching pay ranges from $22
- 32/hour depending on experience, role responsibilities, and class load.
