Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Head Coach for Pickleball to lead our vibrant sports program. In this dynamic role, you will inspire players of all ages and skill levels, foster a positive team environment, and promote the growth of pickleball within our community. Your leadership will drive training sessions, organize competitions, and ensure a fun, safe, and inclusive experience for everyone involved. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of pickleball enthusiasts while leveraging your coaching expertise and love for sports. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging pickleball training programs tailored to various skill levels Lead coaching sessions, providing clear instruction on techniques, rules, and strategies Organize and oversee local tournaments, leagues, and friendly matches to promote active participation Monitor player progress, offering constructive feedback to enhance skills and confidence Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols and behavior management standards Collaborate with facility staff to ensure equipment is well-maintained and facilities are prepared for activities Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoyment among participants Experience Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably with a focus on pickleball or similar racquet sports Background in teaching or instructing groups of diverse ages, including children and adults Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote positive engagement during activities Experience working with students in physical education settings or youth programs is highly desirable Knowledge of related sports such as tennis, badminton, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, judo or martial arts enhances coaching versatility Lifeguard experience or background in swimming and health club environments is a plus but not required Strong communication skills coupled with a passion for fostering physical activity and healthy lifestyles
