The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and Athletic Director, with responsibilities beginning in the summer to support workouts and summer leagues and continuing through March.

Responsibilities may include:

Coaching & Instruction Assist with practices and competitions Teach and reinforce fundamentals, skills, and routines Provide small group and individual instruction Support game strategy Work under the direction of the Head Coach Student-Athlete Development Build positive relationships with student-athletes Reinforce team expectations, culture, and sportsmanship Program Support Assist with tryouts and athlete evaluations Support eligibility tracking, equipment, and program logistics Contribute to off-season training Communication Communicate regularly with the Head Coach Provide feedback to athletes Maintain professional interactions with parents and staff Preferred Qualifications Previous experience coaching cheerleading; demonstrated knowledge of cheer stunting, tumbling, choreography, and safety protocols Ability to develop student-athletes both athletically and personally in a faith-based educational environment Excellent communication and planning skills Familiarity with OHSAA rules and regulations
