Description:
Founded in 1826, Western Reserve Academy is a nationally recognized boarding and day school for grades 9-12 and postgraduates, located on a beautiful 190-acre campus in Hudson, Ohio, just 30 minutes from Cleveland. Dedicated to student wellness, holistic development, and excellence in academics, arts, and athletics, WRA is seeking a Head Track & Field Coach to lead its competitive high school program. In keeping with the school's mission to energize lives of connectivity, integrity, resilience, and wellness, the head coach will oversee all aspects of the program's development and management. We are seeking a dynamic leader who is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes and promoting a positive culture of excellence, growth, and sportsmanship. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the track & field program, including planning practices, managing meets, and supporting athletes across a variety of events. Lead recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with the Admissions Office and Athletic Department. Support student-athlete development in alignment with the school's values and academic mission. Partner with WRA's Sports Performance Coaches to implement strength and conditioning programs. Coordinate with the Athletic Department on scheduling, home meet operations, and transportation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required Prior coaching and/or competitive experience in track & field Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level preferred.

Priority application deadline: October 1, 2025 Preseason begins: Week of February 23, 2026 Season concludes: Week of May 18, 2026 with the Spring Athletic Awards Ceremony
