Athletic Director Position Summary Northridge High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and student-centered Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach to lead and develop a competitive high school basketball program. The ideal candidate will foster athletic excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct all varsity basketball practices, games, and team activities Develop and implement offensive and defensive strategies Promote a positive team culture emphasizing discipline, respect, and accountability Monitor academic progress and support student-athlete success in the classroom Supervise and collaborate with assistant coaches and program staff Ensure compliance with all Ohio high school athletic association rules and school policies Coordinate scheduling, travel, equipment, and program logistics Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and administration Organize offseason training, conditioning, and skill development opportunities Qualifications Previous coaching experience (high school or higher preferred) Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful team environment Requirements Valid Ohio coaching permit or ability to obtain one Completion of required certifications (CPR, First Aid, concussion training, etc.) Successful background check in accordance with Ohio law Availability for practices, games, and team events (including evenings and weekends) Preferred Qualifications Prior head coaching experience Experience working within a school-based athletic program Background in strength and conditioning or athletic development Compensation Stipend based on experience and district pay scale Application Process Interested candidates should submit: Resume Cover letter References Applications can be sent to: Kevin Jarrett, Athletic Director, at kjarrett@northridgevikings.org Equal Opportunity Employer Northridge Local Schools is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.
