Job Description

Basic Function:
This position is responsible for assisting with the development, leadership and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III softball program.
Reports to:
Head Softball Coach Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the recruitment of quality student-athletes while maintaining roster expectations Maintains awareness of and adheres to College, NCAA and OAC rules and regulations Assists in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes Assists in practice to optimize team and individual skill development Assists in scheduling home and away contests Assists in coordinating travel and assists supervising team members during off-campus travel Assists in fundraising initiatives that support the program's budget Performs secondary duties as assigned by the
Director of Athletics Performance Standards:
Performs responsibilities and meets identified objectives in an efficient manner and strives to fulfill the college's strategic plan. Works positively in a collaborative role within the Athletic Department and with other College stakeholders. Strives for excellence in performance of responsibilities and expectations of providing a positive athletic experience for student-athletes. Knows and abides by College and department policies, guidelines, procedures and expectations.
Qualifications :
Related bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of college or related coaching experience. Evidence of excellent coaching and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain quality student-athletes. Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
