This full-time position involves leading our middle school soccer program, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student-athletes, and promoting the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soccer, experience working with youth, and a commitment to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive soccer program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Plan and conduct daily practices, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants. Organize and manage all aspects of the soccer season, including scheduling practices and games, coordinating transportation, and overseeing team logistics. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and progress. Foster a positive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth among student-athletes. Monitor and assess the performance and development of players, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote the overall athletic program at Bethany Middle School. Ensure compliance with all school, district, and league policies and regulations related to athletics. Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and meetings to stay current with best practices in coaching and player development. Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and well-organized for practices and games. Requirements Previous coaching experience, particularly at the middle school or youth level, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, strategies, and rules of the game. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff in a school environment. First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for practices and games.
