Job Description

Jenks Public Schools Job Description Position:
Assistant Coach•Jenks Wrestling Club Reports to: Director of Community Education and Assistant Director•
Athletics, Community Education Supervises:
None Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Previous success in an assigned coaching position is preferred but not required. Extensive knowledge, skills and ability in the strategy and technology of the sport. Experience interacting with student athletes, parents, and assistant coaches through deliberate positive interactions. Ability to serve as an effective role model for student athletes and represent Jenks Public Schools and Jenks Community Education with integrity and respect. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board and Jenks Community Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal:
Assist with all aspects of student-athlete development and performance of the wrestling program.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Attend scheduled wrestling events. Attend all scheduled wrestling practices (3 nights a week).

Regular Requirements:

Occasional Requirements:
Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 75 pounds.
Visual Requirements:
Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Hearing/Speaking Requirements:
Adequate to exchange information.
