Position Summary The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in all aspects of developing and advancing a competitive women's basketball program in the Big Sky Conference. This includes, but is not limited to: coaching, recruiting, and counseling student-athletes; managing daily administrative duties of the program; fundraising and public relations; supervising student assistants; adhering to all rules and regulation of the university, NCAA, and Big Sky conference. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Minimum two years coaching experience. Demonstrated excellence in professional/interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to the total welfare of student-athletes. Demonstrated commitment to developing a successful women's basketball program both academically and athletically. Must become First Aid/CPR certified before on court coaching occurs. Work Days/Hours Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $49,140
  • $61,422, but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
