As a coach/camp counselor, you will be partnering with the Camp Director to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for our children ("athletes"). This includes overseeing and leading a group of approximately 15 athletes through their daily schedule of sports training, educational classes, game room, and free time. Key Job Responsibilities Model and promote the mission, values, and guiding principles of ESA through appropriate appearance, words, and actions. Lead children through daily sports based activities and stations Assist Director and other Coaches with daily tasks and administrative duties. Adhere to all operational excellence standards related to providing a safe and fun environment for our athletes. Assist in daily set-up and cleanup before, during, and after the camp day. Guarantee participants safety at all times and provide first aid when necessary, being constantly aware of children's medical conditions and food allergies. Ensure campers follow policies and procedures. Motivate children to participate in age appropriate activities. Lead by example maintaining a positive attitude and fun atmosphere while overseeing assigned group. Communicate pertinent participant/parental issues to appropriate leadership. Cooperate as a team with your fellow co-workers to adhere to schedules and assigned work stations. The ESA Camp Counselor position reports directly to the Camp Director. Qualifications • Experience playing or coaching sports (camp counselor experience can be substituted for this requirement) Strong teamwork skills Effective communicator Passion or interest in athletics, sports management, community engagement, childhood development, or other related field Minimum 18 years of age
