Founded in 1869, Oregon Episcopal School today occupies a wooded 59-acre campus where 880 students in Pre-K through 12th Grade share an excellent faculty, an inquiry-based curriculum, and a strong sense of community. The Upper School also includes a small boarding program of international and domestic students who live and learn together, enhancing the vibrancy of the school community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assumes Responsibility for: Confirming Team Roster, Maintaining Roster Accuracy; coordinate with the Athletic Department to finalize the team roster and communicate updates as needed. Keep the Athletic Department informed of player additions, consistent absences or removals. Weekly Communications Regularly update families and players regarding schedules, expectations, and events. Managing Equipment, Collecting and Returning Uniforms Organize, maintain, and account for all team equipment during the season, Gather uniforms after the final game and return them promptly to the Athletic Department. Punctuality and Preparedness Plan and Lead Dynamic Practices; design practices that promote skill development, strategy, and personal growth. Full Commitment to Attendance; be present for all practices, games, and bus rides to away contests. Game preparation; ensure players are equipped, informed, and ready for each game. Transformational Coaching Foster Team Culture; cultivate a positive environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, inclusion, and teamwork. Exemplify respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship in every interaction Support Player Well-Being; monitor and encourage the emotional and social wellness of all team members. Collaborate with School Staff; work effectively with upper school programs, assistant coaches, faculty, and athletic personnel to support athletes. Advocate for OES Basketball,, Attend School Events; inform players about opportunities in the U.S. Basketball Program to encourage long-term engagement. Participate in the fall admissions retention event to support the school community and athletics. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED Previous Coaching experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High ethical and professional standards The presence and desire to be a role model for student-athletes on and off the field. A commitment to the importance of academic excellence for all students. A thorough knowledge of volleyball, skill development, and coaching techniques. Demonstrated ability to be a positive leader within the high school program and develop and instruct young athletes both physically and emotionally Ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrates confidentiality regarding information pertaining to all students, faculty and staff.

$7200 (Aug 2026 - November 2027)
