Individuals in these positions are responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA, adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of Springfield High School, Springfield School District and the OSAA. Springfield High School is committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse student and staff population, so we seek candidates with demonstrated potential to contribute positively to our diverse community. Coaches are expected to conduct him or herself in a loyal, honest, responsible, ethical and professional manner at all times. Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications : Previous High School basketball coaching experience; Effective communication skills; Work schedule that allows for flexibility with practice and game schedules;
NFHS/OSAA
certified and First Aid certified; Willingness to work within the school and athletic guidelines; Ability to organize a complete basketball program grades 9-12; Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity. Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities; Ability to be District Van Certified; Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations; Ability to work with parents and booster clubs.
