Aug 10, 2026 Job Description The New Hope-Solebury School District is looking for a High School Assistant Football Coach responsible for supporting the leadership, organization, and development of the High School Football program. This position supports the District's mission by promoting academic achievement, athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and the personal growth of student-athletes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach in the planning, organization, and supervision of the Football program in accordance with District policies and PIAA regulations. Coach and supervise student-athletes in assigned functional areas, position groups, or phases of the game as designated by the Head Coach. Conduct drills and training segments that emphasize technique, physical conditioning, and safe participation. Instruct student-athletes in football fundamentals, situational strategies, and game plans appropriate for high school competition. Evaluate athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to support individual and team development throughout the season. Promote and model appropriate conduct, sportsmanship, and respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and the school community. Support the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes in alignment with District expectations. Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure consistency in program philosophy, terminology, and training execution. Assist with game-day operations, including equipment logistics, sideline management, and athlete supervision. Help ensure the proper use, maintenance, and storage of football equipment and training facilities. Communicate effectively and professionally with student-athletes, parents/guardians, and athletic department staff. Ensure compliance with District policies, PIAA regulations, and league rules regarding safety and eligibility. Uphold and enforce District codes of conduct, team rules, and expectations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. Qualifications Prior coaching and/or competitive experience in Football preferred. Knowledge of football rules, position-specific techniques, training principles, and safety practices. Ability to work effectively with student-athletes in an educational environment. Strong communication, reliability, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse coaching staff and school administration. Completion of all required District, PIAA, and state-mandated clearances and coaching certifications.
