This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic excellence while promoting a positive school community. As the head coach, you will be responsible for planning practices, developing game strategies, and mentoring students to reach their full potential through volleyball and related physical activities. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the girls varsity volleyball program, including coaching practices, games, and team meetings. Develop training plans that enhance players' skills in volleyball fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Implement effective game strategies and analyze team performance to improve future outcomes. Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes respect, discipline, and personal growth. Coordinate with school administration, athletic trainers, and parents to ensure student-athlete safety and well-being. Organize team events such as tournaments, community outreach programs, and team-building activities. Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance evaluations, and equipment inventories. Experience Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on volleyball or similar team sports. Background in teaching physical education or working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote discipline and teamwork among student-athletes. Knowledge of conditioning exercises relevant to volleyball is a plus. Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds while fostering an inclusive environment focused on growth and achievement.
