HEAD COACH ROLE
The Head Coach's primary purpose is to produce and document client/athlete results by ensuring that all Altus clients are coached according to the program that they are enrolled in. The Head Coach is responsible for clients' results. Success in the role is achieved by implementing the systematic Altus approach through the team of coaches; namely, tracking client progress and coaches' performance, while supporting and guiding coaches and clients that need improved coaching in one of the 3 areas that we provide. 1.

Program design / client output and motivation 2.
Nutrition:
Nutrition guidance, accountability and execution / Techniques, habits and processes 3.
Habit formation:
Lifestyle planning / coaching accountability and support The Head Coach is responsible for implementing and improving the Altus coaching system by tracking, documenting, training coaches, and coordinating with the Director. The Head Coach also leads private, semi-private and team training sessions, providing guidance on training, nutrition, injury prevention, performance, and functionally based exercise techniques.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that the fitness and sports performance participants are training in an exciting, motivating and safe environment. Implement movement enhancement exercise programs. Assess clients for sports and functional fitness performance enhancement. Track clients progress for sports and functional fitness performance using athlete management software Maintains a current knowledge base regarding developments or trends in fitness and sports performance, and training equipment and modalities in order to maintain/enhance expertise. Independently read journals and other educational materials related to the position. Actively participate in company strategy development. Recognize the need for and initiate collaboration with other team members to proactively resolve fitness and sports performance clientele needs. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training in achieving desired outcomes. Establish themselves as thought leaders through content on company pages.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Please show in your application that you have. Degree in exercise physiology, health and physical education or a closely related field. NASM-PES or CSCS certified. 2+ yrs. experience of coaching speed, power, agility, strength and endurance, with a strong focus on biomechanics. Demonstrable and measurable success of previous athletes / clients coached. An understanding of programming for hybrid performance through global stress modulation methods (Conjugated or DUP or Concurrent methods, etc....) Strong leadership qualities, with 1-3 years of leadership/management experience. Experience as a coachable team player who is always seeking to help and improve the success of the team in any way needed. Pursues constructive feedback from peers, supervisors and subordinates. High motivation with an energetic and positive attitude and a love of learning. BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program.
PREFERRED
Specialty certification (NASE, USAW, TSAC, etc...). A proven strong technical background, or a willingness and ability to learn athlete management software systems and customer experience platforms. A proven understanding and demonstrable experience with social media platforms. Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little oversight while accomplishing prescribed projects by requested deadlines.
